The $42 million Banyule City Council project utilises modernised, safe & environment friendly materials, such as HT anti-bacterial tiles, which prevent the growth of germs and bacteria and reduce the need for cleaning chemical products.
The facility caters to the vast needs of the community, with not only swimming programs and water play, but also;
- Merchandise shop area - selling mostly goggles, bathing suits, floaties and other aids by well-known brands.
- Community spaces indoors and out to just lounge around in and hosting rooms for kids parties.
- Gym and aerobics equipment areas
- Cafe serving coffee, sandwiches, salads, etc.
With so many different spaces in one facility, the architects have been careful in selecting flooring materials that are fit for purpose, durable and easy to maintain. The utilisation of HT tiles in the foyers, eating area, change rooms, showers, hallways and stairwells, has reduced cleaning expenses for the facility, improved the air quality with HT tiles eliminating bad odours and provided the community with a long-lasting facility.
