FINA World Championships is one of the biggest swimming events in the world. Beginning in mid-July, 2,500 athletes will compete for World Championship Aquatic titles in Hungary, with the Dagály Swimming Complex in Budapest being the main venue.
Known as the ‘Palace of Pools’, the facility has been built alongside the many thermal pools that exist within Budapest and has been recognised for its eco-friendly design featuring geothermal energy technology and several thousand sqm of HT ceramic tiles made in Germany by Agrob Buchtal.
Oliver Huss, Managing Director of Ceramic Solutions, recently visited The Dagály Swimming Complex and was able to observe the 50m competition pool, 50m warm-up pool, 25m diving pool and 12.5m leisure pool, all showcasing Agrob Buchtal Chroma pool tile interiors and Quantum ceramic tile concourses. Both tiles will provide the facility with anti-bacterial benefits, reduced water scum lines, easy floor cleaning surface and significantly improved indoor air quality.
