Noble Park Aquatic Centre, VIC

Noble Park Aquatic Centre (NPAC) has helped set a new benchmark in aquatic centre facilities both in terms of design features and cleaning and hygiene. Thanks to the use of the unique Hytect range of high-performance floor and wall tiles throughout the facility, the NPAC is sure to stay looking good for years to come.

Located within the municipality of the City of Greater Dandenong, Noble Park is the most culturally diverse suburb in Victoria (ABS 2008). A key objective of the redevelopment was to provide a recreation destination where people from different backgrounds and ethnicities could meet to relax, get fit and socialise.

Designed for Council by internationally acclaimed Australian architects Suters Architects, the Noble Park Aquatic Centre project is a keystone project representing the first major redevelopment of the Noble Park pool since it first opened more than 50 years ago. NPAC includes an impressive array of facilities, including a new 50m heated outdoor pool, indoor program pool with beach entry, splash pad with Aquaplay Unit and supporting water features, and youth water play area.

One of the unique features of the building is the motorised louvers that provide shading and allow the indoor pool area to be closed off from outside view. Providing privacy for swimmers with special needs.

Other unique features include a Ceramic Solutions supplied and installed bulkhead (also known as boom) which can be used to separate the 50m pool into two 25m pools providing operators the opportunity to offer patrons multiple pool uses at the same time.
