In order to avoid destruction of surfaces and the underlying materials, it is necessary to have a good knowledge of the materials to be cleaned, the nature of the contamination and the chemical characteristics of the cleaning agents. Ceramic Solutions uses Dr. Nusken cleaning products for the cleaning and care of tiles within aquatic and leisure centres. These chemicals are specifically designed for removing typical floor contaminations within aquatic centres and are approved by our tile manufacturers. Within aquatic centres, alternating between alkaline and acidic cleaning chemicals ensures both organic and mineral contaminations won’t build-up on a ceramic tile surface. Ceramic Solutions has available stock-holdings of the following tile cleaning chemicals:
Fettloeser F100
Strong alkaline cleaner

Highly concentrated, low foaming cleaning chemical for removal of organic dirt and greasy deposits. Removes grease, soap scum, oils and cosmetics stains. Fettloeser F100 is ideal for cleaning tiles in highly frequented bathrooms, showers, walkways, pool surrounds and tiles within swimming pools.
Available in 12kg containers. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse floors to avoid any build-up of cleaning chemicals.
Hyginol XLF
Mild alkaline cleaner

Removes light to medium organic dirt and deposits. Recommended for regular cleaning and is suitable for cleaning plastics, metal and ceramic tiles. Hyginol is a concentrated cleaner that dissolves body oils, cosmetics, grease rings and contamination left by feet in change rooms and pool surrounds.
Available in 12kg containers. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse floors to avoid any build-up of cleaning chemicals.
Phantax Extra
Acidic cleaner

Extremely powerful, concentrated acidic cleaner, ideal for removing stubborn mineral dirt and incrustations such as limescale and urine. Phantax can be used on all ceramics, metal and other acid-resistant coverings. Ideal in removing build-up of calcium around swimming pool edges and can be used as a builders-clean to remove grout debris.
Available in 12kg containers. When using acidic cleaners a post treatment of a mild alkaline cleaner should be used to neutralise the cleaning chemical.
Tools and equipment for cleaning

- Abrasive brushes or scouring pads on machine cleaners should not be used. This will alter the slip-resistant surface structure of the tile.
- MSD sheets are provided with each cleaning product and should be read regarding safety and recommended protective clothing.
